Thanks, Fritz.
My question was not well-written, I see. The time period of 1850 or 1860 I am not familiar with. I wrongly assumed conditions in the country (Nemetujvar) was different then than it was in 1890 or 1900 with the blight and other setbacks. It was also a surprise to find the surname on a site with many Jewish records with our family being RC.
You can probably hear the green-ness of me, a person new to this. I figured I had nothing to lose but to have someone may mine was another silly question (though that is not what you said) and so I asked. I have not been active for a month or two, so I am also a little rusty.
I appreciate your answers--you have responded to my threads before. Your answers are always filled with more information than I ask for and I learn more about Hungary each time.
Thank you again, Fritz.
