When I read your post, it triggered a memory of talking with my husband's grandfather shortly before he died, and I asked him for family history information. I did not write down the name of his birthplace, but I remembered he said it translated as "Old Town." You have cleared up many mysteries. I could not find them in the 1910 census and I guess the misspelling/original spelling is why.

For father Jack/Jacob, you wrote that he was from: Zecho Slovik Austria---where did you find that and what does that mean?

It appears that Kate's maiden name was not Bogdanich, but Bogdanovic(h) and so I can add another generation to our family tree. I am so curious where you found the ship manifest information on Kate, Ivan and Klara's immigration. I have never seen that before.
