Hello,

I've come across a copy of g-grandparents marriage certificate as well as an English translation, but there are a few details on the documents that I am confused by & I'm hoping someone more familar with Hungarian offical documents can clarify the information for me.

I've attached the portions that I don't understand. Namely the bride's (my g-grandmother & her parent's) information.

For instance, her name is listed as

"Mandel
Gulet, Sari,
Gizella"

Now I know that Mandel is her last name & Gizella is her first, but the "Gulet, Sari" I don't understand. Would they be middle names?

Again with her father, his name is listed as

"Mandel
Mendl
Mano"

I know that Mandel is his last name & Mano was his first, but what is "Mendl"?

Lastly when you compare the original document to the English translation, there are more words listed in the original than in the English translation (in the case of her parent's information) or they appear to be spelled very differently (in the case of Gizella's name) & I don't know why. I don't speak, write or read Hungarian (obviously) so I figured that this might be a good place to ask.
