Hello All: I am researching my family and have come to the German question. Does any one know of a Kettlespittle providence in Schleswig-Holstein? Or a Ketelsbuttel? I have search the maps and find no providence but there is a town Ketelsbuttel. My family that was born in Germany quote Holstein as birth place. Is there a town Holstein? As you can see the town or place in Germany has become my next step to unraveling the mystery that we call family.
My GG grandfather Fred Brandt (1850-1932) and his family came to US in 1882 and settled in Wisconsin. First in New Holstein and then in Green Valley. The story is that several families may have come from Germany and settled in the same part of Wisconsin.
Any help on names or family line would be welcomed.
