I am researching the Schmitt family line apparently came from Winnweiler, Germany located in the Rheinland-Pfalz province, not for from Kaiserslatern. They came to America around 1840 and settled in Louisville, Kentucky. Their were 4 brothers John Peter, Nicholas, Michael and Jacob. If anyone has any inforamtion please contact me. Thank you
