Frirech VANHOVELN (son of Hinerous) was born 4-5-1831 in Ostfriesland. In 1852 he and his "aged father" immigrated to Peoria Illinois USA through the port of New Orleans Louisiana USA. Years later his stated reason was "I didn't want to goosestep for the Kaiser" He married Gretje WEINRANK born 3-3-1844 in WESTERMARSCH OSTFRIESLAND. Her parents were Jacob WEINRANK and Luke (Lucia) JANSSEN. Her brother John married Antje Behrend DUITSMAN.I am interested in any information or ideas(No matter how crazy :-) ) regarding these people. The Janssens were from the LEER area. Places in the US where it is known that children died include SCHWER,IROQUOIS COUNTY ILLINOIS, Hayes, Ellis County Kansas, Sanfrancisco California, and Fulda Murray County Minnesota.
