I'm looking for information about my wife's father's family. He was born Otto Franz Wilhelm Jacobs on 15 Apr 1928 near Zeven, Germany. Parents Wilhelm Franz Jacobs and Anna Jacobs(Jacobs) Otto was raised by grandparents, one of whom was Sophia Butt. Another family name is Bowinkle(sp?) Otto came to Canada in the 40's and eventually settled in Delafield, WI.

I have a violin marked inside Franz Wilhelm Otto anno 1913. Perhaps there is some connection to your family? Did your family make violins? Thank You. Sorry I don't have any more information on your family but it would be neat to have one of your violins.
