Bernhard & Gesine (Thaden) BEHRENDS lived along the North Sea near the town of Hokenkirchen. Bernard was a farm laborer. Gesine's two sisters came to America and sent passage money for the Bernhard, Gesine and 11 children to come to USA.
Bernhard's parents: Bernhard and Trienke (Fransen) BEHRENDS.
Gesine's parents: Poppein and Gesche C. (Hussman) THADEN.

I have copy of Behrends diary as they crossed the Atlantic also their German birth and marriage certificates. Trying to find more on this family in Germany. Willing to share all I have.
