LOWELLVILLE - Mrs. Grace Fitch, wife of Rev. Owen D. Fitch, of 236 First St. in Lowellville, Ohio died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, at Caprice Health Care Center, North Lima, Ohio after a long illness.
Mrs. Fitch was born March 1, 1922, in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) to Elmer and Hattie Blunt Ausnehmer.
Mrs. Fitch graduated from South High School in 1940 and Practical Bible Training School in 1943.
She was a member of the Lowellville Christian Church, where she served as organist for more than 60 years, was a member of the Missionary Society, Gleaners Class and was a Sunday School teacher.
For many years, she also played the organ for Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Lowellville, Ohio.
She leaves her husband, Rev. Owen D. Fitch, whom she married 68 years ago on Dec. 25, 1941; her children, Charles (Kathy) Fitch of Edinburg, Pa., Jean (Dick) Williams of Leverett, Mass., Timothy (Ruth) Fitch of Ft. Myers, Fla. and F. Richard (Debbie) Fitch of Pulaski, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Ausnehmer.
Services will be held Friday, at 11 a.m. at the Lowellville Christian Church for
Family and friends will be received Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Lowellville Christian Church, 44 E. Wood St. Interment will take place at Lowellville Cemetery, where a graveside committal service will take place.
Contributions may be made in Mrs. Fitch’s name to Southern Care Hospice, 5401 Ashley Circle, Suite E, Austintown, OH 44515.
Arrangements are being handled by the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Lowellville Chapel.
