Konrad Hast, my ggg grandfather, married Katharine Heil in Germany. They both passed away in Carmi, IL 1896 and 1902.
Their children were Georg, Johannes, Karoline, konrad(mike), Adam and Henry. My gg grandfather was Adam. He married Mary Renshaw. Their children were Carrie, Kate, Lissie, John, William, Albert, George and Joseph. My Great Grandmother was Carrie Hast, who married Alonzo Dow Elder.

I thought it strange that my husbands GGGrandmother was born in Mechlenburg-Schwerin and was named
Elisabeth Sophia Dorotea Friedrike Moll. She married Karl Friedrich Theodor STRUCK. Is this some naming custom?

Hi you said your grandparents died in Carmi, Il. could they have been related to John and Sarah Heil they were married in White Co. and lived in Carmi or general area. They had 10 children.
