Morning, I came across your message this morning. I am not sure which Shelt you are related to, but I am the Granddaughter of Iris Emma Shelt Sprenger. Iris' father was William Jefferson Shelt. William's father was Anthony Shelt. is that what you are looking for? Let me know, I have more information.

Thanks Jeannie, I'm a little "slow on the draw" by returning your message. My Grandfather was Clarence Odis, his father John (married to Laura Zollars), his father John Henry which would be brother to William Jefferson. After visiting the Wayne County library in Wooster, Oh. I could not find any information on his father Anthony. Any help about this would be great.

I will do my best to give you information about anthony, however, I just sent all my information home with my parents. I am on a temporary detail for the government and will not be home until the end of February. I will keep your email and give you info as soon as I can.

Hi Steve,
I got my information regarding Shelt family. I do not have any information as of yet on Anthony Shelt. I do have info on Elizabeth Kryder Shelt. She was the wife of Anthony. Would that info help you?

I don't have anything on either Elizabeth Kryder or Anthony.
I'll take any information on either of them.

Interesting I did find Elizabeth's brothers' logs from the civil war. You may have seen them.

Anthony seems to "drop out" prior to his birrthday and in between until 1872. I was wondering if he had an family, brothers, sisters, parents.

If you get anything on him please pass it along.

Morning Steve,
Ok, I will get all the information when I get off work and will email it to you. Is there an easier email address for me to send it to you? If not, I will just do it this way. Do you have any info on any of the other Shelt children of Anthony & Elizabeth?

Ok, here is what I have.
Nothing much on Anthony's parents. However his wife Elizabeth Kryder is the daughter of Michael Kryder and Elizabeth Lenniger.

Michael is the son of John Kryder Jr and Anna Storm.
John Kryder Jr is the son of John Kryder and Angelina Fox.

That is about all I have. :-)

I will see what else I can find
Jeannine

anthony also shows up as arthur. i couldn't find any record of anthony beyond a certain point. he just appeared out of nowhere. then i saw arthur, and tried that. there was anthony! hiding behind arthur. he did have other family. look on ancestry.com. if you don't have a membership, you can access it through the Latter Day Saints library branch in your area. that's where i found it. are you aware that the shelt name changes as you go back? for one generation it was shilt, then before that it was schildt. at that time they were in PA.
