Where did he live? My great-grandfather was George, from Canada, then New Jersey.

My Great Grandmother, Henriette Sophia Elizabeth WITT/WITTE was confirmed in the Plauerhagen Parrish on Palm Sunday (29 Mar 1863). This Parrish is located near Kuppentin north/west of Berlin about 80 miles. She married Jacob DURR also from the state of Mecklinburg-Vorpommern. Unknown if they were married in Germany, but were in Indiana (USA) by mid-1870. First two children born there 1876 and 1877 Census show them in Yakima Co, Washington Terr. by 1880. The surname HAHN appears connected to Elizabeth but am unsure how.

My great uncle was named George Witte. He was the
son of John Christopher Witte and Gesina Hildebrandt, and
grandson of Martin Witte. Last lived in Bronx, NY
He had a brother named John and Sister named Marie who
moved in Minn.

My Great Grand Mothers maiden name was Ida Hellen, Her Fathers name was Michael. Ida married Samuel Frederick Stange in Watertown, WI. Believe Michael left Germany before Ida's birth. If these names are in you family line,

I am looking for Heinrich D Witte in Westfalen,Germany.
He was born in 1866. His father was Heinrich Witte
and his mother was Sophia Meyer (or Mayer) unsure but
it does look like Meyer on grandfathers marriage
certificate. I would appreciate any information.

I too am researching the Stange surname. Unfortunately, my names don't match up with yours, but perhaps with a bit more information, we could connect. I have a Frederick Stange who was from the village of Stadt Schwerin in Mecklenburg, Germany. He was married to Carolina ?. Their daughter, Caroline was married to Wilhelm Deling and settled in New York City in the 1880's or so. Let me know if any of this sounds familiar to you. Thank you.

I have a Great Uncle who was named Frederick. On my GGrand
father all the info I know on him is he came to America as a
