I have attached a death Record from St Matthews Evengelical Reform German Church which indicates his name wife's name and his birthplace in Strelitz, Europe. he was born on 12/June/1843, and came to the US around 1869, and resided in Buffalo for 32 years until his death 24/November/1901. He was married to my GGrandmother Maria Schmidt in 1871 in Buffalo NY. He may have come to the US with a brother or cousin William (birth 1846 or 1847) Winterberg, both names are in a census at the same boarding house in 1870.
