I am looking for anything pertaining to "Lowenstein's Jaegers" muster rolls. My 4th great grandfather George Frey/Fry it turns out was likely one as he was later in De Wateville's Swiss Regiment that was finally disbanded in Leeds County, Ontario Canada in 1816 after The War of 1812.
His service records at disbandment said he had served 13-24 years with De Wateville's Regiment which would likely make him a Lowenstein at first. The service records also said he was from Germany (Bavaria or Hesse likely).
When he died in 1829 at Perth Military Settlement (Bathurst) he was 47 years old making him born around 1782.
I am also looking to try and connect with any Frey/Fry researchers who may have him in their data base in Hesse or Bavaria.
Any leads will be appreciated,
Thank you,
Dan
