Would there be anyone on this board who lives in or near Melsungen? I learned about two years ago my father was stationed there in 1945 and had a girlfriend who gave birth to twin boys he fathered and abandoned. The only information he could/would give me was their mother's first name, Helga, and some vague information about where she and/or her parents worked and/or lived, in a mill down a cul de sac along a river. I would really like to know who my half-brothers are/were and establish contact if possible. I've tried to get information from the Standesamt there, but they couldn't find anything under my father's name and I couldn't supply a mother's surname. If there is anyone around Melsungen who is willing to provide any assistance, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you. John
