I'm a bit of a history buff, but I also like human interest stories.
I know this might still be painful for some, but I am wondering if there are anyone out there that would be aprox 80ish now, that remember ww11, and what it was like for you and family in your area of Germany.

Its not the historical facts that I'm so interested in here, its the human side of peoples lives back then. I had a friend who was in a concentration camp, and still had those awful id #'s on her arem(forgot the right name for them). She died about 5 years ago. But she told us her parents and sibblings were all killed, she was the only one of family to escape. She got to US, and was adopted here.
