Hi,
I've been searching for an Ida J. McWeen for many years and keep coming up with nothing. The only information I can find on her and her parents are in the marriage record of Ida to my great grandfather. Details are:

Charles E. Duham (supposed to be- Duhaime), spouse Ida J. Mcween born in Hide, Germany. There is no date of birth for her. They were married on April 16, 1896 in Superior, Douglas County, Wisconsin, USA. Her parents are: Frederick Mcween and Catherine Fisher.

I am thinking their name may have changed when they arrived in the USA but from what I don't know. I also can't find them on any immigration records. There is nothing for any McWeen or Mcween. I keep finding McQueen and I'm wondering if someone may have heard the name wrong.

I guess what I'm wanting to know is, is McWeen a German surname? I feel very stuck and don't know where to look.
