Hi; I am new to Austrian genealogy. Friends family came from Austria. Her 4th grdfather David Fried born abt 1839 at Hesse Cassel and 4th grandmother Rose born abt 1840 at Rhein. How can we locate marriage details? We hope to then move on to birth and parent information. The family came to the US and settled in California in the mid-late 1800's.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
