Classification: Query
Surnames: Bolter, Boelter, Mueller, Miller, Gastern
Seeking information on great grandparents: Michael Frederick Bolter/Boelter was born October 10, 1824 in Germany (possibly Wellen or Mellen)

He and his first wife Dorothea (born February 2, 1828 in Germany) received their passport to come to North America in May of 1866. Unsure when they actually came but they settled in Wayne County Michigan in the Ecorse area. Dorothea passed away July 26, 1874 and is buried in Woodmere Cemetery Lot A246-3. On the passport, Dorothea's maiden name appears to be something like Gastern

Michael then married Christina Mary Mueller/Miller (born January 12, 1842 in Germany) they were married in Detroit on September 6, 1874. Rumor has it Christina's family owned one of the first brick companies in Detroit but I can't find any information on it yet. Michael and her lived in the Ecorse and Taylor areas of Wayne County Michigan.

Michael passed away August 30, 1902, Christina April 28, 1913 and both are buried in Putnam Cemetery (now known as Oak Grove Cemetery) in Taylor, Michigan.

There were cousins in Wayne County named Butch and Hugo Boelter. Unsure if they were cousins to Michael or my Grandfather Herman Boelter, son of Michael. There was also an Uncle August.
