Can anyone tell me where Crier, Germany is? I am searching for information about a family who lived there about 1900. If anyone is related to or knows any history of the SCHONARTH family from this area. I would like to hear from you. The only information that I have is:
Josef SCHONARTH and his brother, Nicolas SCHONARTH arrived at Ellis Island on 21 May 1912 aboard the ship KROONLAND which departed from Antwerp, Belgium. They listed their residence as Crier, Germany. Josef was 14 years old at the time he arrived in Americe and his brother, Nicolas was 18 years old. I have found no other passangers on this ship with the surname of Schonarth and so believe these two brothers came to America together and alone.
This family ended up in Boston, Massachusetts USA where they married and raised families.
If any one has any connection to the SCHONARTH family at all, please conntact me. I do not know who their parents were. Thanking you in advance for any information you can give to me. The smallest of clues will be greatly apperciated.
Respectfully Yours,
Angie
