My emigrant ancestor, Phillip Geib, was born June 30, 1812 in Bavaria. His brother, Valentine (b. 1807), was married in Mackenbach in the Pflaz to Barbara Eva Wild April 23, 1836. Valentine also had a son, Phillip, born May 26, 1836 in Hutchenhausen in the Pfalz.

My emigrant ancestor, Phillip, emigrated to Elmira (then called Bristows Corners), Ontario, Canada August 11, 1836. Phillip's brother, Valentine, also emigrated to Elmira, Ontario. Additionally, two other Geibs emigrated to Elmira, Nicholas (b. 12/21/1821) and Conrad (b. 1822). I am not sure if Nicholas and Conrad are brothers of Phillip. In the death certificate of Nicholas, it lists his parents as Peter and Mary Geib.

I am trying to find the parents of Phillip Geib and his place of birth. The marriage of Valentine Geib and birth of his son were shown as Civil Registers.
