Tja, Thomas, was soll man denn nun damit anfangen: "Groth, Groot, Kruse, Sommerfeld, Kraemer, Otto, Wegner, Scheller. All these families that I am researching are from Germany." ????

Viel Erfolg

Surnames: OTTO, MULLER, LOHDE, JORDAN
I have a Carl Friedrich Otto with his wife Dorothea Luise Strassberg and two children, Wilhelm and Wilhelmina travelling to Australia (Brisbane - Moreton Bay) on the 'Sussanne Godeffroy' from Hamburg, arriving on 6th September 1865. Carl's parents (from his burial information) were Carl Otto and Louisa. They are from Angermunde as it states this on the birth certificate of Wilhelm's son, James. I desparately want to know more.

I'm also researching Muller (also from Angermunde), Lohde and Jordan.

I have Groth and Wegner relation in my family tree. Sophia Groth was a sister to my ggg father John Achen. Sophia's daughter Eliza married a Daniel Wegner. These families lived in the Richland County area of Wisconsin. Some moved onto homestead in Dakota Territory Which is now known as Savo Twp in Brown County, So Dakota. Daniel also had two brothers who married two of John Achen's Daughters. Otto married Emma, Herman married Eliza. Does any of this coincide with your information.
