I found an old carpenters union newsletter and it lists one of my ancestors who we all thought was from Breslau, Germany. I ran across a confusing article that casts doubt.

Hugo told these people at the retirement village he was born in City of Veriegre, Berlin, Germany in 1863. I have scoured the internet and maps and can't locate that part of Berlin.
Veriegre sounds more French than German to me..
His name is Hugo Schlossareck. Any insight would be appreciated.
