My great-grandfather was Frank Gass, born 1/28/1836 in Baden. He moved to Pennsylvania,USA and married Theresia Liebler, born 10/15-1840 in Gamburg, Baden. Frank's father is listed as Geo (George) Gass, unknown who wife was. Can't find any further info on George or his ancestors. The last name was possibly changed at some point from Von Gass, Goss, Gaus (sp?). Would like to hear from anyone related or who would know the original name.
