Surnames: Eisenmann, Gegg, Hogenmiller, Grieshaber, Gremminger
Hello, Gary. Thanks for the response. My Eisenmann family came in through New Jersey, where they stopped for a while and Felix Hogenmiller taught school. He later taught school again when this whole group got to Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, where they pretty much stayed, ie., in the vacinity. My Mary Ann Eisenmann married Joseph Gremminger and moved to Windthorst, Texas. These first Germans in Ste. Genevieve were from Baden. Bohlsbach, Fessenbach, Weingarten, etc... The Gremmingers, however, came to Baden from Bavaria and then to the United States. My earliest Isenmann, Isaman, Eisenmann, is Joannes Jacob Isenmann b ca 1655 in Hofweier, Offenburg, Baden, Germany. The records in Baden I have found to be delightful. Jeanne
