Searching for information on Johann Peter Wilhelm Becker and his parents, Johann and Maria Catherina. The son and mother immigrated to U.S. early 1853,from Antwerp into Albany NY June 15, on the ship Kottumplanter, & settled in Kendallville, IN. The father was listed as John & also Forest or forester which may have been his occupation . A male sibling, Frederich died before 1853 as did the father. Johann, the son was born abt. 1829. The mother was born abt 1792, her maiden name is unknown. She died 1859, and John died abt 1904. He married Mary Stoekle, then to Sarah Jane Bloomfield. John was a farmer, belonged to the Dunker church.He may have been related to Conrad, Joseph & Jacob Becker also from Germany, but settled in Kendallville.Appreciate help on this Wuertemburg family.
