Hello again. I thought I would let you know that I have seen Brandts in the census in Sangamon County, IL in either the New Berlin or Island Grove (Old Berlin, they are two miles apart) areas. The area is heavily settled with people from Germany and is worth a scan for anyone with lost relatives. Especially if you are not sure on your Saginaw, MI source and the county names are so closely similar in pronounciation. :)
