Thanks alois897. Perhaps this picture, showing more of the register page can provide more context. I believe the word under "Jacob Kapp" is the same word that appears in the upper left where his birthdate is listed. I surmise that the word is "Gültstein".

Your transcription though intrigues me because the section I am discussing is under 'Mother' with nothing listed under 'Father'. Therefore, your transcription may be implying that the father was unknown and the mother listed as the "daughter" of a Jacob KAPP, meaning that she was unwed? Interesting.

Can you determine the words under "Jacob Friedrich Kapp" and above his date of death?
