Classification: Query
Surnames: WEBER, HUBER, ROBIN
Jacob WEBER,a widower, came to America sometime between 1815 and 1820. With him was his only surviving sons, Henry WEBER (b.1796)and Valery WEBER (b. ca. 1810). Jacob died ca. 1820 just south of New Orleans, Louisiana. Henry WEBER states on the 1850 census he was from "Baden." In 1860, "Germany." A sacramental record, written in French, records the birthplace of Valery WEBER as "Allemagne". An affidavit in 1850 written by John HUBER states,"I John HUBER, came to America on the same vessel as Jacob WEBER and his only surviving sons, Henry and Valery. His wife died in Germany before they came. Jacob died in 1820."

Looking for any information on Jacob, Henry and Valery that would tell me exactly where in Baden Germany they came from and the vessel they traveled. (The WEBER surname was Americanized as "WEAVER". Valery died in Baton Rouge, Louisiana January 27, 1850, a single man. Henry married Mary Magdaline ROBIN in 1826, New Orleans, Louisiana. They reared several children in and around Baton Rouge, Lousiana where they both died Henry in 1866 and Mary in 1891.)
