My grandmother was a Bishop. Her father, John W Bishop was born in NJ, but his father, Johan Gustav Bischoff was born on May 10, 1845 in Dietlingen Germany and married Ernestine Wagner on Sept 6, 1868 in Camden, NJ. Ernestine Wagner was born May 29, 1848 in Dietlingen, Wuerttemberg. Johann's father was Michael Bischoff born also in Dietlingen or near Pforzheim - in any case, Baden-Wuerttemberg. If you have any info this line of Bischoffs, please let me know as I have come to a stop with Michael Bischoff of Dietlingen - I have no information about him except that his wife's name was Anna Marie Ganger (also known as Mary) and that they lived in Dietlingen when their son, my gg grandfather Johann Gustav Bischoff was born.
