I have read that when a family wished to move from one location to another they had to obtain permission to do so. If this were true in say between 1830-1840 wher would this information be held now for Oberkirch, Grand Duchy of Baden? What type of information would these documentd hold? Has anyone ever obtained a copy of these documents?
