Mary Rosalia Eisenmann who married Joseph Gremminger - do you have a picture of her? Could she have had a sister that married Joseph Gremminger that died and then Mary Ann Eisenmann married Joseph Gremminger. Or, is Mary Ann and Mary Rosalie the same person? I have never heard of Mary Rosalie Eisenmann marrying Joseph Gremminger. These people I have pictures and family letters and have met the descendants in Windthorst, Tx. My mother was born there. Mary Ann and Joseph are her father's parents, ie. Nicholas Greminger. There is a "mark" over the "m" in the German language records that make it a double "m" in English.
I am planning on sending a copy of my book (just under 900 pages) to the libraries in the localities the descendants live in, ie., Vanderburgh and Posey Counties, Indiana, Ste. Genevieve, Mo., and Windthorst, Texas, so that they will have access to it. I am printing a very limited number, 50, and taking orders. The title is "Once an Hoosier" because there is an Indiana connection with everyone in it. As you may already know, the Gremmingers intermarried with other families out of Ste. Genevieve. Mo., and also Vanderburgh and Posey Counties, Indiana after they settled in Windthorst, Texas. Grandpa's sister, Sophie Gremminger married Grandma's mother's youngest brother, Frank Louis Humpert from Posey County, Indiana. I have successfully identified most of the confusing lines with repetitious names. If I had my records at this time and copied them out of the book, there would be many, many pages plus the ahnentafel and descendancy charts... It might be best for you to see the book at one of the libraries I will be sending it to. That way you can decide what in it you may want, if any of it. First you may want to satisfy the Mary Rosalie Eisenmann/Mary Ann Eisenmann question. Regards, Jeanne
