Francis Joseph Humpert died at St. Philip, Indiana, 20 Feb 1866 and was married to Margaret Plisser. He is buried at St. Philip Cemetery. I think the John Humpert there close to him if not next to him (I don't remember) is a brother? These two people had a son, Francis Humpert that married Mary Ann Schenk, who are the parents of Mary Bernardina, Elisabeth, Anton, Francis Joseph, Frank Louis and Margaret. I descend through Mary Bernardina.

It looks to me at first glance that Francis Joseph who married Margaret Plisser is the immigrant, but I don't know. I have some ideas of where I am going to look when I get time in about another week - probably in Alme and Allagen in Westfallen. I am a musician by hobby and am booked until then.
