I was given information that my 2nd great grandmother, Anna (Schaefer) Schneider was born in Westfalen 29 Oct 1953 to Philip Schaefer and an unknown mother. Later she had an illigitimate child, then married Franz Schneider 09 Feb 1876 somewhere in Germany (he was born in Schleswig). Franz and Anna had children (Mary-not Franz's, Anna, Franz, and William [possibly born in Aachen?]). In 1881 Franz and Anna moved to America with their children.

I have all their information once they're in America, however I know nothing of their lives in Germany? Any suggestions on how to find that information or where to start?

I have 24" original photo cards of Anton Nathe Sr. and his wife. They are in excellent condition. I bring them to our family reunions and no left much that knows who they are. They have a granddaughter still living who is the finest lady around and good tesitmony to the fine gene pool created by these folks.

I also have two old pictures that Meinulf said were his grandparents. I could scan them and email them to you, as they may be the same ones. Kathy
