Mr. Gunther Francis Teipel, 85, formerly of Easton, PA, passed away Monday, July 7, 2009, at Central Continuing Care in Mount Airy, NC.

Mr. Teipel was born August 6, 1923, in Arnsberg, Germany, to the late Theodore Teipel and Mimi Vieth Teipel.

Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Kathy Teipel of Canada and Debbie and Bryant Brantley of Pilot Mountain; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Christine Teipel of Germany and Guy and Laurie Teipel of Easton, PA; and eleven grandchildren, Jen Fornwald, Daniel Teipel, Erica Pittman, Brittney Teipel, Ryan Teipel, Christopher Brantley, Stephanie Brantley, Chad Brantley, Philip Brantley, Stephen Brantley, and Chloe Brantley.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 9, 2009, at 7:00 PM at Covenant Reformed Presbyterian Church on South Franklin Road in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by Pastor Brent Ferry, with refreshments served after the service. No formal visitation will be held at the funeral home. www.moodyfuneralservices.com
