I believe your Gargulak family came from the Trnava area of Slovakia.
An old newspaper article states that the Joseph Gargulak family of Birchwood, WI has had several tragedies, son Ulrick age 17,accidently shot and killed himself while hunting on Sept 8, 1913 (slipped off a stump)
the mother died of cancer, the house burning to the ground and daughter Hilda accidentally died when her brother was cleaning his shotgun on May 6, 1921
For their immigration I find they arrived May 25, 1906 in Galveston, Josef age 40, Marie age 35, Oldrich age 8, Jan (John) age 7, Hedvika age 7 months. Came from Trnava. Sailed on board the Chemnitz.
Oldrich would be Ulrich and Hedvika would be Hilda.

sons Joseph and Tony probably born in WI.
