Hi Juli,

Yep, these are the same folks. I don't have a lot of information on the Wosepka line but I have been in contact with another researcher that is of this line and I will forward you his contact information. Anna Lapice was born 14 December 1860 in Novosedly, Jednoty #59. The spelling does vary. Lapice in the Czech republic. One immigrant brother kept that spelling, my line took Lapic (Jan and Magdalena). There were three other brothers of Jan Lapic that settled in La Crosse, WI and used the phonetic spelling of Lapice which is Lapitza.

Magdalena's name is not Kartalena. That name came from one of the census and I really wish it would go away. Most of the information you are see in the trees on ancestry more then likely came from me. So let me know exactly what you are looking for I will try to fill in the blanks. I have traced the Lapice line back to the 1650's when the surname was Barta. It became Lapice in the mid 1740's when Anton Barta married Klara Koranda. Klara's uncle was living at the Lapice farm and they took it over when he passed away. The Lapice farm is still there in Novosedly. Visit my web site to see a picture of it. My web site is: www.thesumofmetree.com.

I will send you the Wosepka contact information when I get home tonight.

Michael
