My Grandfather spelled his name Chobotar and he married Dora who died in Lethbridge. I have found his name in a manifest that he was a track worker for the railroad which would be right because he worked on the railroad when he gave my mother away at the age of 3. This was in Alberta Canada. His mothers name may have been Mary Chobotar from Czrowowitz(sp) Austria
