I am searching for more information on the family ancestry of Joseph HEKEDISH. He is said to have immigrated from Austria or Hungary to America. He died in Marathon County, Wisconsin July 17, 1908. He had a son Joseph who also died in Marathon County, WI August 23, 1954. Joseph Hekedish the third was married to Stella LAESSIG on Nov. 5, 1938. She
died April 27, 1966 and Joseph III on June 2, 1977, both in Marathon County.

Joseph Hekedish III was born in Eau Pleine Township, Marathon County WI on Dec. 15, 1896.

According to family lore, the HEKEDISH name is unique and the spelling was changed when the immigrating Joseph
HEKEDISH came to America. The original spelling of the name is not known.
