I am searching for information on Abraham Rothauser/Ruthauser/Rathouser/Rothouse, or some version of this surname, possibly from Austria. He was born in 1832, and was married to a woman whose first name was Fruma. He had four children: Shmuel, Jacob, Hyman and Esther, all born between 1852-1855. I am told that his family's original family name was some version of Rothauser, and, because the family was Jewish and their comings and goings were restricted, he/someone from his family took the identity of another man whose name was Goldman (which is my family's surname currently).
