Searching for information on my grandfather Anton H. Moertle/Mörtle, born in 1873 on a farm near Linz, Austria. He emigrated to the USA IN 1890.

I have no clue whether i am related to the man you speak of, but i am also looking for my family history/ancestry. I know my Father's name is Norbert Paul Moertle Jr., My grandfather's name was Nobert Paul Moertle Sr. and my Great grandfather's name was Carl A. Moertle. but that's as far as i know. and was just wondering if you past might lead to my past...I was always told that I am of German descent, and would like to truely know where it is my family name comes from.

Do you know if he married someone named Elizabeth? I believe if it's the same person, they had a son named Carl ... my grandfather who died in 1996. They had five children that I know of, Clara, Catherine, Carl, Helen and Franklin.
