I have been trying to find information on my grandmother,
Magdalena Chrobok, born May 8, 1926, having lived in or born in Tarnowskic, Gory, Poland. She was Catholic. She ended up in Austria near the end of WWII in a displaced persons or concentration camp(unknown name), in a camp in Ebelsberg(?)Linz, Austria in
Lager (building?)#6. She gave birth to a son in that camp on April 25, 1946. (That child is my uncle, Carl, who is not my grandfather's biological child. She would never talk about his biological father.). She married my grandfather, Charles E. Whitlock, in that same town on December 22, 1946. He was US
Army, 586th Engineering, stationed in Austria. She arrived in
New York, USA on November 26, 1947 with Carl and my grandfather aboard the Alexander.
After coming to the states, she recieved a letter from a sister (unknown name) who was living in Germany which told of my grandmother's mother's death (unknown location but assuming it may have been Germany). Another sister died in a concentration camp by cremation. I believe her father died before the war. That is all we know about any my grandmother's family after the war
