The only connection I have been able to find is in the US Fed Census. My GGrandfather Engelbert list his, and his mother and father, with a birthplace if Styria. His death certificate from 1929 also list Styria as place of birth.
I am trying to find out if there are any immigration papers from his entering the States in 1871...Difficult whne I am working with so little. We are planning a trip to the Steiermark region in June or July and I was hoping to have something to act on ... perhaps your advice will help.
