I am looking for more information regarding an ancestor named Johann Gruber. My research shows that he was born on or around June 1, 1772 in Ramingstein, Austria near Tamsweg, Austria where my family name (Gappmayer) is very prevalent. I'm looking for more information about him. Information like who is parents were, what his occupation was, was he married and pertinent dates in his life (birth, death, marriage, etc.) anything and everything I can find. Per the research that I've done, I've been unable to continue this line. Are there resources that could help me find more information in English? In German?
