If your family lived in Vienna around 1895 to 1925, you stand a good chance to find their traces in the residency records (Meldezettel) of Vienna which have been filmed by LDS. It is a job that takes time but is usually very rewarding. If you intend to do this search, let me know by direct e-mail and I'll give you advice on how to proceed.

Durn - I wrote a long reply but do not think it got posted. Ancestry.com is behaving very poorly tonight. I will try to recreate my original message.

I, too, am looking for information on the Weissberger family and I am hoping that we might be able to help each other.

I am particulary interested in Ella Gitel Weissberger (circa 1853 - 1929) who was married to Chaim Yakov Wulwek.

Together they had 8 children, 3 of whom carried the Weissberger name: Feigle, Sholom and Jonathan.

Sholom had one child, Israel Weissberger.

Jonathan had 5 children who carried the name Weissberger: Isiah, Toni, Herman, Betty and Sima.

While there are many surviving descendants of Ella Gitel Weissberger, I do not believe there are any with that surname.

A friend of mine has asked for help in Australia. His mother was Therese Kluger-Langer (nee Gluck). Any clues would be appreciated.
