I have a cousin, Brenda Black, who married a Steiner, and she lives in Thunderbolt, Ga. Her mother, Lois Purvis Black, lives nearby in a retirement home in Savannah, Ga. That is our family connection to the Steiner family in Georgia. My uncle, Raymond B. Welch, was married many years to Myrtle Purvis Welch, until she died in 1955. She is buried in Solomon Cemetary in Walterboro,SC, and he is buried in Greenlawn Cemetary in Walterboro,SC since there were not any spaces left available where Myrtle Purvis Welch, Her infant daughter (who died at birth in 1955), and my great-uncle ,Walter Cecil Sheppard were buried side-by-side.
