Does anyone know anything about Dr. Charles and Sarah Woods? Charles was an American surgeon, I think, but I don't know from what place in US. They had a son, Edward, christened 1797, and a son William Henry, christined 1801. There's also a Thomas Wood who married a Mary Graisbury (sp?) in 1781, and a William Wood who, in 1788, owned Peterborg (sp?) ? Recovery Hill. I think there's another note on this card (it's very hard to read) that says a C. Wood served (servant?) as? mgr.? for Englads? who lived on Foster Constitution HIll in 1797. Any help gratefully appreciated. Laura in NC (LWA101@aol.com)
