The Rhotschilds were in fact wealthy. Their wealth ranged from England to France. Rothschild "Polly" Francis took the name Rhotschild as his own. The House of Rhotschild was of the Masonic Order. As a Brother, the Name was adopted. Rhotschild "Polly" France was a Giant of a Man. His Cousin Romelia Francis Fleming, my Grand mother and my Grand father William H Fleming, her husband, were members of Rhotschild's Mandolin Orchestra in the Danish West Indies. Both Rhotschild and Romelia were born in Santiago Cuba. Ironically, the late 1st Black Band Leader of the US Navy Band Alton A Adams was a member of Francis' Band.
By the way, the 1st Navy Band was all Black and of the now US Virgin Islands.
