I just did a major update on the list of voyages that East Indian indentured laborers made to the Caribbean. I now have over 400 listed. I have some gaps in my records so if anyone can fill those in I would really appreciate it.

I am quite curious about this list of East Indian Indentured Labours to St. Vincent ...My family are descendants of East Indian origins....who ended up in St. Vincent...and since there doesn't seem to be a lot on SVG, I wanted to know if the names Pereira, Bullock are on those lists.
We think that my grandfather's father was brought from Goa, India to St. Vincent...

My family from East India wound up in St Vincent; in particular my mother is a Bullock, but her family line is from Clarkes and Morgans. There are still many Bullocks in St Vincent! I would be interested in hearing from others with similar family histories, as I am just starting this genealogical study.

I know that there are Bullocks living in Calder, St Vincent, but as there were several brothers I cannot help you except you can give me more information about yourself. There are also Morgans living in Richland Park

I am trying to get additional information about the Huggins family. My grandmother died in Trinidad but I'm not sure where she was born. I beleive that Huggins was her maiden name but I'm not sure. Her name is Evelyn Huggins, she had 8 children all born in Trinidad, I believe south Trinidad. Please let me know if you have any information.

Hi dont know if this will be any help as i see your query was posted over a year ago but apprently there were some brothers by the name of Ram-Bullock-Singh who came from the East Indies - some dropped the 'Ram' and 'Singh' part of the name and used Bullock as their surname and some adopted the name Bacchus after a place they were working/living.

Hello Jennifer,
My name is Kevin. My parents are from St. Vincent. I am trying to do a family search. My mother tells me that my great-great grandmother was directly from India. Have you had any luck tracing your families history? I haven't visited St.Vincent in over 20 years, but plan to soon. Take care. I'm glad I discovered this site.

Hi, I had been told that my ancestory goes back to that same Ram-bullock Singh guy from East India. My mother is a Bacchus from Richland Park in St. Vincent. Her grandparents were Nathaniel and Beatrice Bacchus. On her mom's side her grandfather was Alexander King. She married a Baptiste from Calder, St. Vincent who shares the same grandfather as my mother. On his dad's side his grandparents were John and Rosanna Baptiste I believe. My family is really huge as there was a bit of intermarrying among the Bacchus, Baptiste and Bullock families -- I've been told that all three families can be traced to the same Ram-bullock Singh. It's interesting to come across people with the same information, that means that he really did exist.
