To all posters on this message board:

Please note that you have one more place to do your researching for Hazells and other surnames on St Vincent.
The URL is www.sv.usaroots.com

I have a page on this site dedicated to the three dozen or so surnames that I've been researching primarily on St Vincent and Bequia. But there are some British, American and other locations connected to my names.

Please check it out and start posting your queries there also. You never know what gem may come up!

MS. HAZELL, I THINK MY HUSBAND IS RELATED TO YOU THROUGH HIS PATERNAL GRANDMOTHER, AGATHA DAVIS. SHE HAD SISTER MARQUERITE (WHO MARRIED OWEN HAZELL?) AND BROTHER ARTHUR. THERE WAS ANOTHER BROTHER (NAME UNKNOWN) WHO DIED ON A SHIP. I HAVE A DIARY WRITTEN BY NORMA BUNYON GOODING, WHO WAS MARRIED TO RONALD GOODING. THE NAME OF DAVIS, KING,AND GOODING ARE MENTIONED. NORMA BUNYON IS RELATED TO VINCENT (HER FATHER), BERTRUM, THOMAS, CLARENCE, AMY AND DAISY BUNYON. THEIR PARENTS WERE WESLEY AND LEONA BUNYON. NORMA'S MOTHER WAS DOROLIZE OLLIVIERRIE (SPELLING IN QUESTION) DOROLIZE'S PARENTS, EDWARD "JACK" OLLIVIERRIE AND WIFE, ETHEL MITCHELL OLLIVIERRIE, OWNED A FARM, I BELIEVE CALLED "PAGET FARM" IN ST. VINCENT

IF THESE NAMES SOUND FAMILIAR, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Nancy, please call me Cheryl (smile). I feel like we're all on the same level here doing this research. You have a diary written by Norma. Perhaps you wouldn't mind sharing some of what she wrote with me especially where it concerns the Davis, King & Gooding names which figure in my research.

I definitely know the names Doralize, Jack & Ethel Ollivierre! I am so glad you contacted me because I had an unknown Bunyan on my tree who I knew was married to Doralize. Now I can fill in the blank. Where were Vincent, his siblings and parents born? St Vincent or Barbados. I have some other Bunyans on my tree (what is the correct spelling of the name? Family members spell it in different ways). I have it spelled 'Bunyan'. All of the Bunyans I have on my tree have their roots in Barbados.

Paget Farm is not an actual farm, it is a place on the South Side of Bequia. If you are interested in knowing more about Jack and Ethel and some history on the family, please contact me directly. You can also find out more about Gooding and Ollivierre by going to www.sv.usaroots.com/hazell.htm. You will find my email address and phone # there, too. If you're in North America, please feel free to call me. I know that overseas calls can be expensive so then we can correspond by email.

I have Owen Hazell on my tree but never knew the first name of his wife. Now I know and will update. Did you know that Owen's mother was also a Bunyan? Her name was Emily E. but I don't know the names of her parents. Her husband was Hamilton (Hammy) Hazell. I recently found out that Hammy's parents were Thomas Hazell and Angelina Gooding. I have the names of Owen's siblings if you're interested. I do not give out any information on living persons.

Looking forward to hearing from you one way or the other.

Peace.

THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING SO QUICKLY. I READ SOME INFO WRITTEN ABOUT YOU AND KNOW THAT YOU ARE EXTEMELY BUSY. I HAVE ALSO REC'D MAIL FROM A "FARRAH GOODING". SHE HAS SENT SOME PICS WHICH I HOPE MY HUSBAND MIGHT REMEMBER, IF NOT HIS COUSIN, LARRY. I WILL BE CONTACTING YOU THROUGH YOUR WEBSITE. AND YES, LIVING IN NORTH AMERICA CAN BE VERY COSTLY IN PHONE CALLS. THE "JOURNAL" MISS NORMA WROTE HAS BEEN VERY CONFUSING TO ME, SO I MADE NOTES ON DIFFERENT SHEETS OF PAPER TO TRY AND TIE THE LIMBS TOGETHER. I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH "LORRAINE GOODING WALLACE" SON, LARRY, AFTER MANY YEARS APART. AUNT LORRAINE PASSED AWAY, I BELIEVE IN BEQUIA, AND HER HUSBAND IS STILL THERE. LARRY WILL BE WORKING W/ ME WITH THE NAMES AND KINSHIP. VERY FEW NAMES MISS NORMA MENTIONED I HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET.

I GUESS GOODING IS A POPULAR NAME LIKE SMITH OR WILLIAMS?!

THE WAY MISS NORMA SPELLED HER MAIDEN NAME, "BUNYON", LIKE THE STORY PAUL BUNYON.

A HURRICANE WILMA HEADING OUR WAY, SO IT MIGHT BE A LITTLE BIT BEFORE I CAN RESPOND.

AGAIN, THANK YOU FOR ANSWERING ME, WITH SUCH HIGH HOPE.
